The Situation
The style of New York City. The flavors of Asia. Sushi like nowhere else. When it comes to exciting American tastes, Hapa Sushi has the creative menu and the chic restaurants to keep diners coming back.
Serving a fun, cutting-edge style sushi, Hapa fuses American tastes, New York style and Asian flavors into one unforgettable dining experience. Problem was: their website wasn’t nearly as cool as their restaurant franchise. So Hapa turned to {e} house studio to give their Internet presence the same allure their restaurants have.
The Solution
We began with a mission: make the site more user friendly, make it easier to update and make it more fun to visit. The Hapa brand guided us forward. The restaurants are hip and modern, so we gave the site a sleeker look, using Hapa’s street-chic edge as the impetus for the layout and design details. Hapa service is quick so we dramatically improved download time. The food is creative yet easy to enjoy, so we used flash to make the site enticing and simple to explore, adding in easy-to-access menus, news, streaming video and on-line ordering. And, since Hapa is always innovating, we made sure their site could be easily updated to keep pace with the franchise’s changes and expansions. We even created an employee’s only section to help business run smoothly, allowing the store managers to quickly take care of such tasks as ordering more menus whenever they run low.But we didn’t stop there. Hapa is the kind of concept that attracts smart entrepreneurs. So we set-up a sub domain www.franchise.hapasushi.com devoted to dishing out streaming video commercial reel, downloadable franchise forms and all the info potential franchisers want. It’s separate from the consumer site (thus preventing confusion) but easy to access (thus maximizing usefulness). The effect: you can’t help but want to join Hapa.
